Product description

Our story began in 1971 when our parents, Susan Sokol and Bill Blosser, first planted vines in the now-famous Dundee Hills of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. As second generation winegrowers, we are passionately committed to our family’s legacy of creating world-class wines.

Tasting notes

Ripe strawberries, citrus, melon, and pineapple flourish on the nose of this wine. On the palate, tart mango and strawberries provide the perfect balance of bright red fruit flavors and acidity. Beautifully peachy pink in color, this Pinot Noir Rosé is truly summer in a glass.

Vintage Notes

After a cool spring, the first noticeable heat wave in Oregon came in mid- to late June, when the grapes were in the early stages of development. This was followed by a week-long heat wave in July, which resulted in slightly smaller grapes; August was slightly above normal, and September was a month of extreme temperature swings, with record-breaking heat waves at the beginning and end of the month, interspersed with very cool periods. October continued to be a good month, and 2024 ended as it did. With mild, warm temperatures almost every day and almost no precipitation until late October, it was an ideal vintage with little need to rush the harvest until the grapes showed their best flavor and acidity.

Vinification

We only use Pinot Noir grapes to produce this classic, dry Rosé. We harvest our Pinot Noir from our Concert Block, the large, central block at the front of our Dundee Hills Estate, that was once the site of the famous Sokol Blosser concerts in the 1990's. The majority of the Concert Block section is Missoula flood soil, a sedimentary soil which lends itself to producing Pinot Noir that is lighter and delicate, perfect for a Rosé. Harvested and crafted with intention, we make this wine to capture Oregon summer sunshine in a bottle.
