With a moderately steep slope of 14 percent, this vineyard has a south-east exposure and is located in the township of Charly-sur-Marne. Les Alouettes translates as “The Larks” in English.

Christophe Baron comes from a long line of Champagne vignerons, with a history that dates back as far as 1677. His expertise was honed through training in Avize (Champagne) and Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy, where he learned the true meaning and importance of the word “terroir.”

Assisting him in this venture are his three cousins, Claire, Lise and Aline of Champagne Baron Albert, and his sister, Isabelle Baron.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the inheritance of these priceless vineyards from Christophe’s parents, Odette and Gilbert Baron.
