Tasting notes

Rich gold in color, this wine leads with aromas of tamarind, malted butter, and ripe peach. Notes of luscious apple and stone fruit on the palate are complemented by balanced acidity. Enjoy this wine with soft cheeses and various seafood, such as salmon and scallops.

Production
Terroir

Wallula, Canyon Vineyard Ranch:
Known for its many and varied microclimates (cool, warm, windy, hilly, flat), Columbia Valley is the umbrella AVA under which many of the state's sub-AVAs fall. While it contains 99% of wine grapes grown in Washington State, 6,851 of its acres are unique to the Columbia Valley and don't overlap another sub-AVA in the state.

Vintage Notes

The 2022 harvest had a slow start in Washington due to an unusually wet and snowy spring. Despite a few days with temperatures breaking 100°F, temperatures across the state tended to stay within the optimal ripening zone throughout the summer months. While autumnal rain falls further delayed the completion of harvest until late November, fruit was plentiful. The white varietals from this 2022 vintage have shown lovely aromatics and acid.
