Product description
Grapes hand-selected from our finest Clarksburg vineyards create Phantom Chardonnay.
Aromas of honey and spiced vanilla arise from the glass, while juicy golden apples and ripe pears share the palate with tropical mango and guava. Barrel aging in new French oak, with twice monthly batonnage, creates delicate whispers of cremé brûlée and caramel, the lingering legacy of the Phantom.

The Phantom Chardonnay is a true reflection of the region’s terroir and our family’s commitment to quality. Aged for 10 months sur lie in a blend of 65% American oak and 35% French oak, this wine presents a stunning balance of texture and complexity. The nose opens with vibrant aromas of green apple, pear and white nectarine, intertwined with a decadent hint of crème brulee and spiced tiramisu. On the palate, clove and nutmeg mingle with warm notes of toasted graham cracker and French toast, creating a rich, indulgent profile. Mouthwatering acidity and a juicy viscous texture add depth and balance, leading to a lingering satisfying finish.

- Winery Description
The Bogle family has been farming in the Sacramento River Delta for six generations. The first 20 acres of vines were planted in 1968 near the small farming community of Clarksburg. Today Bogle Vineyards farms over 1,500 acres of wine grapes in the Clarksburg AVA and other select California winegrowing regions including Old Vine Zinfandel from Lodi and Amador and Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from the cool Monterey and Russian River Valley AVA’s. The Bogle family’s deep respect for the land and generational commitment to putting consistent, honest value in every bottle is rooted in one over-arching philosophy: the family is involved in every detail of the business. And they are some of the nicest folks you’ll ever meet!
